Winter Luminaries

DESCRIPTION

Light up the season! Join us to create your own handmade winter luminary, a cozy ceramic lantern to brighten the dark winter nights. During this workshop, your instructor will guide you through foundational handbuilding techniques as you form and design your piece. Keep it simple and elegant, or get creative with cutouts and textures that let the light shine through. After the workshop, your luminary will dry for a few days before being fired in the kiln. You’ll choose a glaze color from our curated selection, and our team will glaze it for you. We’ll email you in about 2–3 weeks when your finished luminary is ready for pickup. We hold pieces for 6 weeks before needing to make room on our shelves for new work. PLEASE NOTE: This is a workshop for ages 6+ all the way up to adults! Children ages 6–12 must have a participating adult with them, so please purchase accordingly. This workshop is designed to be enjoyed by a range of ages, so you can expect children to be present, but our instructors are great at creating a class environment that feels fun and appropriate for everyone.
