Stamps + Mugs: A Two Part Workshop
June 14th & June 28th, 10am-noon
DESCRIPTION
This workshop takes place in two parts on two separate days: Sunday, June 14 from 10am–noon and Sunday, June 28 from 10am–noon. **Please ensure you can attend both sessions.** In this workshop, you will carve your own stamps, then return two weeks later to use those stamps to create and decorate your own personalized mug and coaster sets. Mudville takes care of the firing and glazing (from a curated selection), and we will email you when your pieces are ready for pickup 2–3 weeks later. Part 1: June 14 – Stamp Day! We will discuss what makes a good stamp, different carving methods, and how to plan a successful design. Students are able to make multiple stamps. Mudville will fire the stamps for use during the next session. Part 2: June 28 – Mug + Coaster Day! During this class, we will demonstrate how to use slabs to handbuild a mug and use your stamps to decorate the surface. We will also make a coaster to match! All tools, clay, glazing, and firing are included. This workshop is for ages 13+
CANCELLATION POLICY
May be cancelled up to 10 days prior to the first class of the session for a full refund minus a $30 processing fee. To cancel within 10 days or after the session begins, please contact us at mudvilleclaystudio@gmail.com. Late cancellations are not eligible for a refund, but participants may reschedule or receive studio credit. Should we need to cancel a class/workshop/camp due to low enrollment, we will notify you one week prior and issue a full refund.
